Department motivates the faculty to adopt Innovative processes in Teaching and Learning. These creative methods in education, which combine the conventional lecture method with other strategies, allow young minds to improve their learning abilities.
- Faculty and Students are encouraged to enhance their knowledge by attending various certification courses offered by SWAYAM (Study Web of Active Learning by Young and Aspiring Minds)/NPTEL, Coursera, etc., and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).
- Visits to the library and access of internet helps to know about the latest advances in technology and research.
- The Department library is sufficiently stocked with books, conference proceedings, project thesis etc.,
- online e-resources are such as e-books, e-magazines, e-mail, e-learning (lessons / courses), mobile/whatsapp sms / mms, search engines and off-line e-resources such as offline e-books; MS Office applications (documents, spreadsheets, power points); licensed MATLAB software etc are provided to the students for better understanding and practice.
- Usage of ICT infrastructure such as LCD Projectors for Power Point presentations, animations, videos Models/charts, to prepare computer aided teaching and learning material.
- Conduct of Student Seminars to actively engage the students in discussion.
- Organizing of Assignments, tutorials, Class room tests and Group discussions on Case studies.
- Mentoring the students for overall development of the students to acquire potentials to mould them according to their future goals and ambitions.
- Encouraging the students to actively participate in sports and games to make them strong physically and mentally which indirectly helps to improve the learning skills.
- Conduct of Guest-lectures by industry people to bridge the gap between the industry requirements and the concepts they obtained as a part of the core curriculum.

- The faculty is engaged in active research in the areas of Power System Optimization, Adaptive Power System Stabilizers, Hybrid Power Systems, Power Electronic Drives, and robust control of Large Scale Systems and providing guidance to the research scholars.
- Faculty are actively involved in scholarly publications in various journal articles, books, book chapters, papers published in conference proceedings, translations etc.,

- Establishing MOUs with industry and academia to exchange expertise for mutual benefit and growth, in the areas of Industrial Visits, In-plant Training, Internships, projects, Research & Development, Placements, and Establishing Advanced Labs etc.
- To impart social responsibility in students NSS activities and visits to orphnages are conducted.
- The project development skills in students can be improved by preparing proper screening schedules by the PRC for reviews, submission of the weekly / monthly /semester end reports. After each review necessary guidance is provided to the students.
- Students are given exposure to real time field experience by substation/industrial/field visits.
- Conduct of co-curricular activities like Electrical Exhibitions, Quiz, paper and Poster presentations, project expo, short films, etc to build competitive and organizational skills in the students.
- Students are encouraged to be a part of IEEE student branch to provide a networking opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students, as well as faculty members and professionals in the field to share their interests, future professions and ideas
- Conduct Gate coaching classes to helps the students to improve skills to face competitive examinations.

- Encouraging the students to develop mini-projects that enable the student to exercise and identify design opportunities through various phases with the help of hands-on activities.
- Conduct Training programs for students like MATLAB, PSpice, Robotics, IoT, etc., to acquire hands-on experience in various applications.
- Encouraging the students to organize an annual national level technical symposium-ECLECTIQUE and prepare them for the real world, encouraging them to participate and showcase their latent talent.

- Various workshops/ seminars are being organized to provide a platform to showcase the skills, to acquire contemporary developments in engineering and technology.
- Students are encouraged to release the e-magazine “MEMOIR” to provide a wonderful platform for the young potential ones to showcase their talent as writers and express themselves into a conglomeration.
- It is customary of the department to celebrate the birth anniversary of Michael Faraday, Father of Electricity, every year as Faraday Memorial Day.
- Departments releases a Wall Magazine fortnightly, a medium within the department/institution, to express their creativity, to increase interaction between students by having regular fortnight quizzes, and also to discuss certain topics by regular posts on an open section.
- Student club-CLIQUE is formed to create a diverse community, encourage involvement, and provide opportunities for students to build valuable skills. This helps the young minds to build formal and informal networks while exploring career opportunities.
