The Department of Mechanical Engineering at JNTUK-UCEV was established in the year 2007 and currently in-charge headed by Dr. C. Neelima Devi. Today, the department of mechanical engineering at JNTUK-UCEV attracts and features an extraordinary rich diversity and quantity of talented individuals and offers UG (with an intake of 60) & PG in Thermal Engineering (with an intake of 18) courses to students seeking a challenging environment to pursue academics. Outside of teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students, the faculty of Mechanical Engineering actively pursues research. The department of Mechanical Engineering has well equipped laboratories to provide necessary and sufficient practical knowledge to the students and encourages them towards innovative research and development ideas. Its impact on the institute and society is easily demonstrated by noting the alignment of the department’s evolution with key events and technological advances in India and elsewhere. It emerges as a centre of excellence and eminence in Mechanical Engineering to impart quality education towards competent and skilled engineers for better society.
